Self Portrait with Cotton Balls, 2006

Syrus Marcus Ware- self portrait with cotton balls- 2006

I made ” Self Portrait with Cotton Balls” in 2006 for I Represent, a show curated by Natalie Wood for ASpace Gallery in Toronto. You can read more about the show here: http://www.aspacegallery.org/index.php?m=programdetails&id=56

Syrus Marcus Ware’s large-scale painted self-portrait combines personal history with clinical anatomical drawing to explore issues of transgendered representation and the legacy of slavery on identity.

Something like that!
